Gunner of Purest Love

Clarisse portrait

Love and Loss

Once upon a time, there a young woman, who had just broken up with her boyfriend. As she wandered the streets of Limsa Lominsa, she found a view she lost herself in. Then she felt a tap on her shoulder, and met her. This was the beginning of Clarisse’s tale, one of tragic love.
They loved each other in the most authentic way. They loved each other for years. They wanted to make their union permanent. But one day, Clarisse came home, only to find her lifeless body in a pool of blood, then she found it: a gun, and a letter. The letter explained her past with a dangerous group that she left behind, and that she knew that if she were to be murdered, it would be because of them. The gun would be her last gift, so that Clarisse could protect herself. But a woman like Clarisse, who loved her so earnestly, would not protect herself.
One by one, they fell to her vengeance, all dead by the very gun that was meant to protect. Clarisse knew how bloodied her hands were, but she never once stopped. But in the moment of truth, where she could finally kill the leader, she failed. She was caught by the authorities, and they but the leader in custody as well. While they couldn't find anyone to pin the other murders on her, the fact that she had the intent to murder someone had her in jail, even though the reasoning reduced the sentece significantly. Now she's free, walking around trying to find her way back to a normal life.

A Slow Healing

Clarisse felt completely lost. Her purpose did not come to be, and she felt like her life was over, that she failed her for breaking her promise of revenge. But she met the group. They took her in, helped her heal, little by little.
She still grieves and feels guilt for failing, but thanks to Octavel's advice of going to her grave and speaking to her, she has been able to smile again, telling her about her life, her struggles, her new joys, always ending the conversation with thee same words, filled with the pure love she had when they first met
"Sleep well, Diane. I'll be okay. I'll love you forevermore"

Interest Seeker

Diane was her first female lover, but the purest. It helped her learn about herself, from her bisexuality to her love for the quiet moments of presence.
Clarisse is also trying to find hobbies that are for her alone, since all the events that happened to her, from the unjust death to the vengeance have given her a lot of feelings about her old hobbies. One thing for sure is that she has gained an interest in both the mechanicsm of guns and any form of marksmanship, for how satisfying it feels to hit a target.
